Occupational Health Technician – Mobile Role (Yeovil/Somerset)

Salary: £25,000 – £27,000 (DOE)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hrs (8am–6pm)
Travel: Yeovil/Somerset area (occasional UK Travel)

We are looking for Occupational Health Technicians to join a growing peripatetic team delivering health surveillance services within the Yeovil/Somerset region. This role involves travelling to local client sites in a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) and carrying out a range of clinical screening tasks.

A full 3-week training and induction programme is provided, along with ongoing mentoring and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct health surveillance including audiometry, lung function testing and baseline measurements.

• Record accurate clinical data and support wider OH teams.

• Maintain equipment and ensure the medical vehicle  is clean and serviceable.

• Support health promotion activities and assist with additional OH tasks as required.

Who We’re Looking For

• Strong communication, organisation and time-management skills.

• Experience as a Healthcare Support Worker, Emergency Care Assistant, Ambulance Technician, Army Medic, or similar OR a Sports Science graduate with experience taking baseline measurements.

• Must hold a full manual UK driving licence (minimum 12 months).

• Must be 21+ due to vehicle insurance requirements.

• Will need to provide a DVLA licence share code.

Please note: During the first few weeks, travel may be required using your own vehicle or a hire car until the company van is available.
